Justice, Dignity, Expression & Progress - Creatures of Peace!  

 "Peace Creatures" is one of two large scale projects which will serve as a material bank for other up-coming projects, all aiming toward 2014 when Umeå will be European Capital of Culture. The Convention on the Rights of the Child serves as the starting point for the collaborative authorship and artistic expressions in the project. 

Justice, Dignity, Expression & Progress, all names related to the articles in the convention on the right of the child, are four highly technological "creatures" that will travel around the world and together with children they will work and interact on our creative web platform Skripter at Cultumea. 

School classes around the world that receive a creature are to collaborate around different assignments given by the creatures. All assignments involve The Convention on the Rights of the Child and the main purpose is to collaborate with other school classes around the world and take care of the Peace Creatures. If not, the creatures might eventually "suffer & die". 

The Peace Creatures are at the same time part of o "pop group", and in a side project the children will create a sort of "hype" around the band "Creatures of Peace", and also create texts and music for the band’s "revival concert” in 2014. 

All texts, photos, music and videos that are generated from this project will also be collected in the above mentioned material bank for further use in other up-coming projects such as the Fair Opera and the “Madonna” project.
